Brentwood this Week

Monday, September 21st - Keep Calm and Pretend it is not Monday.

Friday, September 25th   -       Terry Fox Run

Terry Fox Information

Hello parents!  We are coming up quickly to the annual school Terry Fox Run, which will be held on September 25.  This year the students will be keeping within the boundaries of the school and running at separate times due to our Covid restrictions.  Kids may also get a modified route depending on the weather and/or the class’ abilities.  Despite our concerns with Covid, cancer still continues to be an important and serious issue.  Please send with your child donations for the Terry Fox foundation up until and including September 25.  The “Toonies for Terry” raised (and any other size donations) will be greatly appreciated and go towards vital cancer research.  Thank you for your support!

COVID19 Screening

Should a student exhibit symptoms including a cough, fever, shortness of breath, runny nose, sore throat, AHS recommends they be tested and states they cannot return to school for at least 10 days from the start of symptoms or until symptoms have abated, whichever is longer. If a student is tested for COVID-19 and the test is negative, the student can only return to school after symptoms are gone.

If the student exhibits other symptoms such as chills, painful swallowing, stuffy nose, headache, muscle or joint ache, feeling unwell, loss of smell or taste, or pink-eye, AHS recommends they be tested and states they cannot go to school until symptoms have abated. If a student is tested for COVID-19 and the test is negative, the student can only return to school after symptoms are gone.

Please use the Screening Questionnaire daily before sending students to school.  If you answer

YES, to any of the questions, you must not enter the building.  Please go to the online AHS Self-

Assessment tool and follow the recommendations given to you by AHS.
